Meet Lu Travel friendly guide at your hotel and begin your journey through the charm, history, and cultural soul of Hanoi.

Start the day with a visit to the historic Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Complex, where you can learn more about the life of Vietnam’s beloved leader and explore the peaceful grounds, including his stilt house and former residence.

Continue to the nearby One Pillar Pagoda, an iconic Buddhist temple dating back to the 11th century during the Ly Dynasty.

Then, visit Tran Quoc Pagoda, the oldest Buddhist temple in Hanoi, beautifully located on a small island in the calm waters of West Lake.

Enjoy lunch with one of Hanoi’s local specialties, such as Pho or Bun Cha.

After lunch, continue to the historic Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first national university, founded in 1070. This peaceful complex offers a deeper insight into the country’s rich educational and cultural heritage.

Next, enjoy a local sweet treat stop. Taste some of Hanoi’s favorite desserts, from the nostalgic flavors of Trang Tien Ice Cream or Thuy Ta Ice Cream, to a refreshing bowl of Che — a traditional Vietnamese dessert made with beans, jelly, fruits, and coconut milk.

Continue to Hoan Kiem Lake, often considered the spiritual heart of Hanoi, before visiting St. Joseph’s Cathedral, also known as Hanoi Big Church, a beautiful example of French colonial architecture.

End the afternoon with a walking tour through the Hanoi Old Quarter, famous for its bustling streets, local life, and traditional trade quarters. Along the way, you may also have free time to explore hidden thrift shops and vintage fashion spots tucked inside the charming alleyways of the Old Quarter.

Please dress modestly, covering your shoulders and knees, when visiting Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, temples, pagodas, and other sacred sites.

In the evening, you may enjoy the traditional Water Puppet Show as an optional experience. Originating from Northern Vietnam, this unique performance uses beautifully crafted wooden puppets on water to bring Vietnamese folklore, village life, and ancient legends to life through music, storytelling, and traditional performance.

Overnight at our hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter.

Enjoy a slow and relaxing morning at your own pace in Hanoi. Take your time to unwind, sip a cup of Vietnamese coffee, wander through the nearby streets, or simply soak in the city’s unique rhythm.

In the afternoon, around 13:00, meet your guide and begin a guided walk through the bustling Hanoi Old Quarter, where the city’s culinary soul truly comes alive.

Along the way, enjoy a local lunch experience featuring two of Hanoi’s beloved specialties: Banh Mi and Banh Cuon. These iconic dishes offer a delicious glimpse into the city’s rich food culture, one of the reasons Hanoi is known as one of Asia’s most exciting culinary destinations.

After lunch, visit Hoa Lo Prison, originally built by the French during the colonial period and once known as Maison Centrale. Today, it serves as a museum reflecting Vietnam’s history, resilience, and enduring spirit.

Continue to Hanoi’s famous Train Street Cafe area, where cozy cafés sit right beside the active railway track, offering a truly unique glimpse into local life.

Here, enjoy Hanoi’s signature Egg Coffee — a rich Vietnamese coffee topped with creamy whipped egg foam, creating a smooth, dessert-like flavor unlike any other coffee experience.

Around 16:00, you will return to the hotel, prepare your belongings, and wait for the bus pick-up. Please book your bus ticket with us in advance. Pick-up is usually available at around 18:00, 21:00, or 23:30.

Evening Transfer to Ha Giang: After around 7 hours of traveling from Hanoi, you will arrive in Ha Giang and slowly get into the rhythm of the Ha Giang Loop journey. Take this time to relax, rest, and get to know the people who will be joining you for the next 4 days.

The bus will stop at a rest station along the way, where you can have dinner (personal expense).

If you arrive in Ha Giang in the morning or afternoon, in case you choose to visit Ha Giang first, don’t worry! There are plenty of good local restaurants around the home base we’ve prepared for you, so you can easily find something nice for dinner (personal expense).

You will have breakfast at our homestay before departure.

First, we’ll go through the itinerary together and explain each stop in detail. If you haven’t completed the remaining payment yet, this will be the time to settle it.

We will also help arrange your return bus after the tour.

After that, you’ll meet your Easy Rider, if you’ve chosen this service, and your journey officially begins!

The first stop is Bac Sum Pass, where you can enjoy a cup of Vietnamese coffee in the early morning. After that, we’ll stop at the Quan Ba Twin Mountains and the “Top of the World” viewpoint. Here, your guide will share the local legend behind this special mountain.

After that, we’ll stop at Lung Tam Linen Weaving Village, where linen products are handmade by the H’Mong people. Here, you can buy local handicrafts such as brocade bracelets, traditional brocade hats, woven fabrics, and more. You will also have the chance to observe and directly experience the traditional handmade process of creating a piece of H’Mong linen fabric.

The next stop is at the top of Can Ty Pass, where we’ll take a short break and enjoy the majestic mountain views of Ha Giang. After that, we’ll continue to Yen Minh Town, stop for lunch, and then carry on with the journey.

Stop for photos at the famous Tham Ma Pass, one of the most popular check-in spots on the Ha Giang Loop. Enjoy the winding mountain pass, meet local children through small experiences like hair braiding and flower accessories, and try some local snacks along the way.

We’ll pass through Chin Khoanh Pass on the way to Lao Xa Ancient Village, an old H’Mong village located near the Chinese border. This stop gives you a closer look into the daily life of the local people. Lao Xa is also famous for its traditional silver engraving, where you can create your own silver piece, engraved with your name or anything you like, as a meaningful souvenir to take home (please note that this personal silver item is at your own expense)

The Moon Rocks viewpoint is another highlight of Day 1, where you can admire Ha Giang’s dramatic karst limestone scenery and impressive black rock formations.

Long scenic roads, cloud-covered mountain peaks, cliffside routes, and the feeling of being completely away from everyday life.

After a day like that, enjoying a few beers while watching the sunset in Dong Van Town feels very different.

On the first night, we’ll stay near the center of Dong Van Old Quarter, giving you free time to explore the town, meet local people, and join in the group dancing — in a place that truly feels special.

We’ll take a boat ride on the Nho Que River to admire its majestic beauty — an experience that surely won’t disappoint.

The boat trip will take you to Tu San Canyon, the deepest canyon in Southeast Asia.

After that, we’ll continue to Meo Vac Town, check in, and take some time to rest. In the evening, you’ll enjoy a local cuisine dinner and have free time to explore the lively town of Meo Vac.

We’ll pass through some fairly rough roads to reach Ban An Stream, a place we often call the “Bamboo River.” Here, you can chill on a wooden raft along the stream to Ngoc Long Cave, swim in the cool water, and explore the cave.

After that, we’ll continue for about another hour and a half on similar roads to reach our lunch stop. The route to and from this stream is just as special as the destination itself, taking you through a more untouched side of Ha Giang, where very few tourists have been.

A day filled with slow village moments, breathtaking viewpoints, children waving from the roadside, and fun football games with your Easy Riders.

In the afternoon, we’ll arrive in Du Gia, check in, and take a short walk to Du Gia Waterfall — one of the most beautiful natural waterfalls in Ha Giang. You can swim in the cool water and enjoy a cold beer by the waterfall. It’s a truly refreshing feeling after a long journey on the road.

In the evening, we’ll end the day with a memorable farewell dinner together.

Breakfast will be served at the homestay. If you still feel a little sleepy, don’t worry, the new day will begin with a refreshing swim at Du Gia Waterfall.

The final day is still full of beautiful viewpoints, natural landscapes, and unforgettable highland villages. It’s a fairly long ride back to Ha Giang City, but by then, you may find yourself wishing the journey didn’t have to end.

Visit Tha Village, a Tay ethnic cultural village, where you can enjoy meaningful local experiences and get a closer look at the daily life of the people here. Here, you can enjoy meaningful local experiences with the people in the village. If the weather is good, we’ll take you to explore Waterfall No. 6 or Khau Lan Waterfall — one of Ha Giang’s hidden waterfalls.

Music plays softly inside your helmet. Your eyes are tired, your camera roll is full of memories. One last toast with the whole group before returning to Ha Giang City and somewhere in your mind, you’re already wondering when you can live it all over again.

After that, you’ll return to where it all began — Ha Giang City — and get on your cabin bus back. It’s time to say a reluctant goodbye to your wonderful tourguide, your Easy Riders, and the new friends who became part of your journey.
