LU Travel is a Ha Giang company. Our guides grew up on these passes, our drivers come from families along the route, and the homestays we use are people we actually know.
Our story
Most Ha Giang tours are sold from an office in Hanoi. Ours are run from No.151 Minh Khai Street, in Ha Giang city, about a kilometre from where your bike will be waiting.
That difference shows up in small ways. We know which homestay has hot water in January. We know the stretch of Ma Pi Leng where the surface breaks up after heavy rain, and the viewpoint two hundred metres further on where nobody stops. When a rider is nervous on the first morning, we know to put them behind our most patient easy rider and let the pace settle before the first pass.
We keep groups between two and eight people because that is the size where a guide can still see everyone in the mirror. If a bigger group books, we split it and add a second guide rather than stretch one across twelve bikes.

Our guides speak English well, are trained in safety, and know every hidden gem along the route. All the drivers are from local families, have extensive knowledge about the scenic points along the way, and are enthusiastic about assisting foreign friends.
