Terms & Conditions
The rules we book under — written in plain English rather than legalese. Please read section 5 and 6 before you ride.
These terms apply to every tour operated by LU TRAVEL TRADING AND SERVICE CO.,LTD, Business Registion Certificate No.5100509777, issued by the Department of Finance of Tuyen Quang Province on August 29, 2025, registered at No.151 Minh Khai Street, Ha Giang, Vietnam.
By booking with us you accept them on behalf of everyone in your party.
1. Booking and confirmation
A booking is confirmed when we send you a written confirmation on WhatsApp or by email stating your tour, start date and the number of travellers. Until you have that, dates are not held.
You must be at least 18 years old to book. Travellers under 18 may join a tour when accompanied by a parent or guardian who books on their behalf.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the details you give us, including names as they appear in your passport, dietary requirements and any medical condition that could affect your ability to ride or be a passenger.
2. Prices and payment
Prices are quoted per person in US dollars and cover everything listed as included on the tour page. Anything listed as not included is payable by you.
You may pay:
- Cash at our office in Ha Giang — no fee.
- Credit card — extra 5% bank fee.
- Online via OnePay — extra 5% bank fee.
No deposit is required to reserve a date. If you choose to pay a deposit online, it is deducted from the final balance. The balance is due before the tour departs.
Prices may change before a booking is confirmed. Once we have confirmed your booking in writing, the price for that booking is fixed.
3. Changes and cancellation by you
Tell us as early as you can. Date changes are free where we have availability.
Cancellation:
- More than 7 days before departure — full refund of anything paid.
- 3 to 7 days before departure — 50% of the tour price is retained.
- Less than 3 days before departure, or no-show — no refund.
Bank or payment-gateway fees already incurred are not refundable. Bus tickets we have bought on your behalf follow the bus operator's own rules.
4. Changes and cancellation by us
Your safety comes before the itinerary. We may change the route, the order of stops or the accommodation where weather, road conditions, landslides, border restrictions or events beyond our control make the planned version unsafe or impossible. Where we do, we aim to deliver a trip of equivalent value.
If we cancel a tour outright and it is not caused by something outside our control, you may choose a full refund or an alternative date.
5. Riding, licences and your responsibilities
To ride a motorbike yourself in Vietnam you need a valid Vietnamese licence, or an International Driving Permit that includes the A2 motorcycle category, appropriate to the engine size. It is your responsibility to hold the correct licence. Riding without one is illegal and will invalidate most insurance policies.
If you do not hold a valid licence, or if our guide judges after the practice ride that you are not able to ride safely, you must travel as a passenger with an easy rider. A supplement may apply.
You agree to wear the helmet provided, to follow your guide's instructions, and not to ride under the influence of alcohol or drugs. We may end your participation without refund if you put yourself or others at risk.
6. Insurance
Travel insurance is not included and we strongly recommend it. Check specifically that your policy covers riding or being carried on a motorbike in Vietnam — many standard policies exclude this, or require a licence valid for the engine size.
You are responsible for your own medical, cancellation and baggage cover.
7. Liability
LU TRAVEL TRADING AND SERVICE CO.,LTD accepts liability for loss or injury caused by our own negligence or that of our staff, to the extent required by Vietnamese law.
We are not liable for loss, damage or injury caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, by your own failure to follow safety instructions, or by services you arrange yourself and we do not supply.
Personal belongings remain your responsibility, including items left in luggage storage, although we take reasonable care of them.
8. Damage to equipment
Normal wear, mechanical failure and punctures are our cost. Damage caused by riding recklessly, riding without a licence, or riding under the influence is chargeable at the cost of repair. We will show you the mechanic's invoice.
9. Privacy
We collect only what we need to arrange your trip: your name, contact details, nationality, dates, and any dietary or medical information you choose to give us. We use it to run your tour and to register you at accommodation as Vietnamese law requires.
We do not sell your data. We share it only with the accommodation, transport operators and payment provider involved in your booking. Payment card details are handled by OnePay and are never stored by us.

10. Content creator promotion
The 10% content creator offer applies to our 3D2N and 4D3N Ha Giang Loop tours. To qualify you must upload video capturing the scenery and activities on the tour and tag LU Travel in it. The discount applies per qualifying video where that video performs as agreed with us in advance. Terms are agreed in writing on WhatsApp before the tour and cannot be combined with other discounts.
11. Governing law and complaints
These terms are governed by the law of Vietnam. If something goes wrong, please tell your guide at the time so we have a chance to put it right. If it is not resolved, email lutravel.hg@gmail.com within 28 days of the tour ending and we will respond within 14 days.
